cups matchstick-size strips peeled trimmed celery root (celeriac; from about 2 medium)

large red onion, halved, thinly sliced

Preparation
Whisk first 6 ingredients in large bowl to blend. Add celery root, onion, and chives and toss to coat. Season to taste with salt and pepper. DO AHEAD Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover and chill.
