Ingredients

ounce Redbreast Irish Whiskey

/4 ounce Averna

/2 ounce heavy cream

ounce Guinness Simple Syrup (recipe below)

dashes Angostura bitters

ounces Guinness

8

ounces Demerara sugar

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Add all ingredients except coffee bean to a cocktail shaker. Shake with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Top with freshly grated coffee bean.

  2. Guinness Simple Syrup

    Step 2

    Pour Guinness into a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and reduce by 1/3 to 8 ounces (approximately 10 minutes).

    Step 3

    Remove from heat and add Demerara sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Cool and refrigerate in a clean, covered container. The simple syrup will keep for up to two weeks if you don't drink it first.
