We Ate These 11 Recipes All Summer Long, But Now We're Letting Go
The 11 recipes we loved all summer long—from tomato salads to fried chicken—and are now tabling till next year
The things we did last summer... We grilled, we sliced up ruby red tomatoes and ate them on toast with nary but a sprinkling of salt, we hosted fried chicken parties almost every other weekend. Yes, those things we did last summer, we did over and over (and over) again, so many times that we've had enough corn. Enough tacos. Barbecue ribs, our summer love was too intense.
We feel smothered. We need to take a break.
So goodbye, avocado toast. Just for now. We'll be friends again soon, but for the next few months, we want stews and casseroles and warm cocktails that come in mugs.
