Nonstick vegetable oil spray

cups walnut halves

tablespoons (packed) light brown sugar

tablespoon soy sauce

/2 teaspoon Tabasco

/4 teaspoon kosher salt

/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 340°. Line a rimmed baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Coat with nonstick spray. Mix walnuts and remaining ingredients in a medium bowl. Spread out in an even layer on prepared sheet. Bake walnuts, rotating pan and stirring nuts every 5 minutes, until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Separate any nuts stuck together (they will be very sticky but will dry as they cool) and let cool completely.
