Ingredients: 2 3/4 cups warm water (105°F to 115°F); 2 tablespoons mild-flavored (light) molasses; 1 tablespoon dry yeast (from 2 envelopes); 1 cup whole wheat flour; 1 tablespoon salt; 6 cups (about) plus 1/3 cup unbleached all purpose flour; 1 1/2 tablespoons corn oil; 1 pound pitted dates, chopped; 1 large egg beaten to blend with 1 tablespoon water (for glaze)
