Ingredients

pound ripe fruit (such as apricots, blackberries, cherries, currants, peaches, plums, raspberries, or strawberries)

1

750 ml bottle vodka or other clear, flavorless spirit

cup sugar

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Combine fruit, vodka, and sugar in a large jar or crock. Cover and chill. Continue to add fruit throughout the season along with 1 cup sugar for each pound of fruit you add and enough vodka to keep everything submerged.

    Step 2

    Do Ahead: Jam can be made 1 year ahead. Keep chilled.
